Gross grubs!

I spotted a bearded dragon beside the road, bobbing his head while standing under a tree.

Nick did a quick U-turn and rolled slowly along the road edge till we stopped beside the tree, so Vaughan and I could exit the car in search of the lizard.

As usual, Vaughan gave chase and had soon extracted the reluctant reptile from a tree hollow.

Closer inspection revealed the lizard had been eating brightly-coloured caterpillars - lots of them.  (You can see one in the bottom corner of the pic at right).

We weren't sure if the dragon was bobbing his head trying to spit the grubs out, or swallow them!  After a few quick photos, we released him back under the tree to finish his gross grubs!
