We were up early this morning, keen to spot the mail-truck on the way town. Once bundled into Elmer and heading out the driveway, it quickly became obvious that he sounded and felt quite different.
The trouble was quickly identified as a very flat tyre. Nick walked the short distance home to retrieve our air-compressor and used it to reinflate the tyre. We took the small unit with us as we made our morning rounds. The tyre needed assistance a couple of times - and was changed later in the morning. Closer examination revealed that in spite of our far more cautious bluff-driving, we had picked up a stick. Nick is pondering the appropriate repair.
