When we first arrived at Yowah, there were two empty nests at the back of the house.
One had been built under shelter of the veranda roof and is still intact, though looking more worn. The other was in an adjacent gidgee tree.
A few weeks ago, Nick spotted a third nest during his archery practice. It is a mud nest and a peewee was sitting on it.
We've been keeping an eye on her and yesterday noticed two larger offspring.
While Nick watched, both parents had been guarding the branch against an apostle bird gang.
