The cormorant was standing pretty much at the Bore Track turn-off. We weren't entirely sure what the bore track was but decided it was worth a look - and it was! The view was stunning.
Erin stayed in the car but Nick, Vaughan and I went for a short walk to investigate the nearby sand-hill.
There were animal tracks (including dingo prints) and burrows, ant-hills, unusual vegetation and a rather nifty grasshopper.
It looked as if there may have been a reservoir of bore water at one time, held in the plastic-lined dam area.
