Meadow Glen to White Cliffs ...

Day 5 - 1553km from home. So many changes to the countryside and much awesome along the way.

We walked around our Meadow Glen camp after breakfast, before packing up and heading toward Cobar.  There were hundreds of goats beside the road as we travelled - scattering into the scrub as we approached.

About 150km west of Wilcannia, we pulled into a nicer rest area to re-fuel.

We’re carrying four, 10-litre diesel jerry cans with us - cos the smaller size is more manageable.

There was a little goat sitting under tree, eating little bits of grass.  I did a bit of a sneak, fully expecting him to to bolt - but he didn't and I was allowed some petting.

Nick then got out of car with Bandit.

The goat did not like the look of Bandit at all and made his way over, preparing for a big headbutt.

Nick retrieved Bandit and took him back to the car – with the bossy goat in hot pursuit!

I thought the goat may have wanted something to eat - hah. All of a sudden he was on the bonnet of the car and then jumped on the roof!

Nick managed to shoo him down to the ground, when I was doubled up laughing - then the goat supervised the re-fuelling from the top of the Spacevan!

We were still laughing when we got to Wilcannia, for more civilised fueling and a picnic lunch across from the historic hospital.

Later in the day we rolled into White Cliffs, quite excited to see a fat shingelback on the road.  There had been two emu dads with groups of still-stripey young'uns a bit earlier.  We planned to to stay put for a couple of days and do some exploring, based on a powered site (with $1.00 timed showers and paid laundry facilities).
