Thargomindah Visitor Centre

"The Thargomindah Visitor Information Centre is housed in a building built from local mud brick prior to 1888 and used as a hospital until 1976, when a new hospital facility was built in Dowling Street ... Be sure to stop in and get some local information."

Well, we did stop in and although the Centre had re-opened after the holiday period, it was closed for the weekend! We had a look at some of the information and display along the verandah though, enjoying some cold drinks in our thermal mugs - before retreating to Elmer's air-conditioning!
