Try a little tenderness

We saw many lizards on the trip back to Yowah from Eulo.  Most were bearded dragons, playing statues on the road!  Often they would scuttle away but frequently they remained posed and Nick would need to steer around them.

Further along the way, this goanna was resting protectively over another who had been hit by a car.  We all felt quite sad, seeing the two together. Although the road wasn't busy, the cars that did pass that way did so very quickly and we were worried the survivor may be hit too.  Nick moved the fallen comrade off the road into the scrub and we watched the other goanna head that way too before we drove off.
