Back to Bindegolly

We called back in to Lake Bindegolly, en route to Thargomindah. There was a large circle of rocks on the Lake Bindegolly access road.

I could see something fluttering in the middle but wasn't sure what it was (as we drove to the causeway).

It was only a 12 days since our previous visit but the causeway was virtually clear so Nick, Vaughan and I were able to walk right to the end (though the girls stayed in the car). There were quite a few more birds than previously and we were able to drive a little further along the lakeside track also, before it went under water.

On the way back out to the main road, we stopped and could see the fluttering thing was actually a small bird nesting on the road! If you look closely at the pic, you might be able to spot her egg.
