Dalby duo ...

We made a quick, two-night trip out to Dalby and really enjoyed the break from routine.  It was lovely to spend time with a friend both days - and just generally relax.

Our small patio was next to the pool and it was very pleasant sitting out there.

I'd recently made new shower totes for each of us to use when staying in caravan parks.  As we were staying in a motel, the totes made excellent swimming bags.  We tested the water one afternoon but didn't stay in too long!  (You can see our holiday shopping bags came away with us, also).

As a giggle, the first thing I packed was my teapot and a selection of teabags.  The motel info mentioned baths, so I packed some bath bombs also - though they weren't required because the accommodation hadn't had baths since being upgraded 10 years before our arrival!

We had a bit more of a look at the town than on our previous visits.  There was an interesting antique shop and of course, we poked around some of the local opshops also.  Our friend reminded us that Lake Broadwater was full so we made a point of picnicking beside it, watching the peewees and other birds as we ate.
