Lorne Station

When we arrived in Lightning Ridge, we stopped in at the information centre to pay $10 for a "Ridgee Didge" visitor incentive card.

The card entitled us to a 25% discount at our chosen accommodation (plus other discounts) so was money well spent.

Lightning Ridge boasts five caravan parks in town and as we drove along the main drag, we were very pleased to be staying a bit further out!  There was collective appreciation of the scrub and leopard wood trees as we turned down the 2km dusty driveway of Lorne Station - arriving around 4:30pm to set up camp.  We were warmly welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
